Kamoi

History

Built in 1922 by New York Shipbuilding (Camden, NJ) as a fleet oiler, converted into a seaplane tender in 1932-33, refitted as a flying-boat tender in 1940, and returned to plain oiler duty after repairs in Singapore. Only ship of the class.
